Somewhere else is a group show linking studio photography from India with painted backgrounds of Bangladesh. Once a year desert tribes from the surrounding provinces make the journey to town for the yearly family portrait in front of expertly painted backdrops representing wealth and health.
Jack Bell Gallery is a new gallery supporting contemporary artists from all over the world tending toward a social or political agenda. Forthcoming Exhibitions will include artists from Haiti, Soweto, Pakistan, and West Africa.
The gallery is one of several spread over separate floors in one large building. It is very close to Victoria Station and I recommend it.
